Hey guys, sorry I haven't been updating for a while. I've been sort of busy.

Anyway, shortly, I will be making a new blog. That blog will be aimed at fashion. I'll keep this blog to just post bits and pieces of my life and stuff like that. There will be a link in the sidebar, so just keep your eyes open for that.

a nose job?

Okay, I, like many people, have major self-esteem issues. It's the twenty-first century, how can you not? Anyway, I feel like I have an abnormally large nose and I think I want to get a nose job when I graduate (I'll be seventeen at that time). My mom is okay with it but I'm sort of worried.

Should I get it? What do you think?

I won't get offended, trust me. Honesty is the best policy.

well, i've never been to spain

I have decided that I want to live in Spain when I get older.

Do I speak Spanish? No.

Have I ever been to Spain? No.

The thing is, I'm really tired of the United States. I hate it here (no offense to anyone). Since my family is 100% Italian, I have had the opportunity to visit Europe quite a few times. I love it there. The people there are just so full of life and spirit. They don't worry about these tiny, insignificant things; they live in the moment and just enjoy life instead of fretting over things that aren't there. That, to me, is beautiful.

Of course, I could choose to live in Italy. I have family there and I speak the language. Besides, the culture of Italy is very similar to the culture of Spain. But for some reason, I don't want to live in Italy. I just think Spain is a beautiful place with beautiful people and a beautiful culture. To live there would be fantastic. I understand the language pretty well if you speak it slow enough. I just think it must be a fabulous place and I have heard that it is.

My only problem is that I have no clue what I want to do with my life. I wanted to be an actress, but my mom sort of crossed that idea off the list for me. She wants me to be a doctor but I hate science. I want to do someting that makes me happy but I also want to make a good living. The reason I bring this up is because I have to have a plan for my life before I jet off to Spain. None of these careers appeal to me. I don't see myself devoting my life to anything and being happy. I get bored very easily, which sort of sucks.

I just hope it hits me one day like everyone says it will.

But, as of now, my plan is to live in Spain. I just hope I get the opportunity to visit soon. That's where I want to study abroad to.

What can I say? Viva España.

I adore Penelope Cruz and I adore her style even more. The outfit she wore to the 2009 Academy Award Nominees Luncheon is so simple but so elegant at the same time. The neutral colors compliment her skin tone and hair shade so nicely.

And you know what else is so lovely about this outfit? It doesn't wreak designer fashion. I mean, of course hers is probably on the more expensive side, but it's a sort of look that can be easily obtained. It's simple but so elegant. It looks comfortable!

Her fashion sense is just so timeless. I love it. She knows when to be playful and when to be elegant.

Penelope Cruz is just a win.

I have no objections to those who choose to dress with considerable elegance on a daily basis however, as a young girl, I feel that now is the perfect time to take advantage of outlandish fashions. Now, when I say outlandish, I don't mean completely and utterly weird. Nothing has gone south yet, so why should I dress like it has?

In other words...WHY SHOULD I LOOK LIKE AN OLD FRUMP?!

Anyway, I happened to stumble upon Isabel Marant's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. I've heard of her before but I never really paid any attention to her work. Well, I'll be damned, this woman is a fashion GENIUS.

I just have no clue where to buy her stuff :(

the confederations cup

Yesterday, Italy versed Brazil in South Africa in the Confederations Cup. What an embarrassing game! Not only did Brazil score two goals in the last few minutes of the first half, but Italy scored on themselves! How ridiculous! World Champions MY ASS.

But at least Spain is still in the game. I like the Spanish team (I also like Fernando Torres ;]). Ever since the Euro Cup last year, they've gotten really good. In fact, they're number one in the world right now on FIFA's list. I have a feeling that they are going to be the winners of the World Cup next year. I seriously think that next year is going to be Spain's year.

I'm really excited for the next World Cup. Even though I was rooting for France last time and they lost, I'm really excited to see how the whole thing unfolds. I'm going to keep my bets on Spain though. Italy hasn't been doing to well lately. I mean, they win, but their playing is just so...sloppy. Brazil, no offense, is just a team I can't stand. Germany is a good team to. Seriously, the World Cup is just the best. In this Confederations Cup, you don't really get that many interesting teams (duh, it's only 8 that get to play), but the World Cup is just incredible. It'll be exciting to watch.
